New Year's in GI will not be happening for this girl. Effing snow.
Don't get me wrong, I love snow. I'm from Minnesota after all. But I awoke this morning to the sounds of "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey, which meant Brett was calling. Groggily I answered and his first words were something to the effect of "You need to look outside." Yep, snow. And with the way it's drifting, it's all building up right in front of my door so if I don't keep that little ledge clear, and this goes on for a while, if I open my door later today there's just going to be a wall of snow. Normally I'd think that's kind of cool, but not much right now.
So, New Year's in GI is scrapped, at least for me. I don't get to see Britty and that sucks because I haven't seen her since Teetz's going away party. Also, I am not sure then of Silas and Beth's status and whether or not they're still coming here. They were coming to see the Lager Band at Playmakers. So, more than likely I will be ringing in the New Year with Brett and Tim and some of Brett's friends from Ivy League, and then we will wake up and start drinking bright and early tomorrow for the Cotton Bowl...eff the genius who decided it was a good idea to start the bowl at 10:40 AM. Who knows, maybe we will not even go to sleep, because hopefully we can make this New Year's a good one, even though things are not going quite according to plan.
Have a good one kids, don't do anything tonight that I wouldn't do.
